Visual art, like theater, is a convention. The visual artist creates by manipulating the moments of personal extroversion that are offered to him in the course of his life. Whether painting the canvas or sculpting the material, he never ceases to work alone.
As important as these moments are, so are the moments of collaboration with his peers.
