Introduction

Highlighting the identity. The architecture of the property and the controlled building activity of the era, determining factors.

Theme

The society of consumption and pollution.

Rendering

Collage of offset pages of weekly magazines or periodicals pasted onto a gray cardboard background.

Texts

The image of life is imprinted on the pages of weekly magazines. Its rhythm is the hurried flipping through them during a break between two T.V. programs. At a similar rhythm, the various news items are recorded, visually superficially: Food, detergents, sex, consumer goods, brutal violence, politics, hunger, pollution, pass before millions of eyes. Not a single flicker of joy - sadness, surprise - fear. Emotion no longer prioritizes anything. Without any particular feat, man has become arid and, standing on his pedestal, he simply sees, without observing, without reflecting, without feeling, he lives the disease of statues.

These collages select real images from everyday life and compose them on a canvas, with an architectural structure, they give artistic breath through the choice of color, the composition of the form, the volume, all of this tied to a message of vigilance and alarm. A kiss of life to the sleeping princess with the hope of awakening because Art is optimistic by nature. Their theme is the theme of life that flows around us. Always the same. Only the setting has changed. The classic vase with roses, for example, is always there, framed with the products of our time, cigarettes, pens, etc. The lace is a romantic note, the tray with fruit, the still life inside the tin coffins - cans.

The experiences of the city in which we live and move, of the city that we destroy. The gray color of the cement that surrounds us is softened by the blissful multicolor of advertising messages. Their volumes hide the horizon from us. Nature is marginalized. The forest is nothing more than an endless line of pillars, and the concrete beams are the branches of the trees. The couple in love has marbled with it and the banisters. The huge gray column crushes the apricot as a summary of the destruction on the natural environment. And the severed mountain extends the sunset and thus the technological violence is compensated. Man is compressed, enters the formwork himself, is molded, becomes a pillar. To support what? Images of the space in which we live - move - of the space that we destroy.
